Privacy Policy

Who we are

This website is operated by TAB Software Corp., Fort Wayne, IN, USA. This policy explains what information we collect through tabsoftware.com, how we use it, and who else handles it.

What information do we collect?

You can browse our site without telling us who you are. We do not offer accounts, we do not sell anything online, and we do not run advertising or analytics on our site.

We collect personal information only when you send it to us through our contact form:

• Your name and company name
• Your email address and, if you choose to give it, your phone number
• The kind of help you need and the project description or message you write

Like nearly every website, our hosting provider automatically records technical details of each visit in its server logs, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of the request. These logs are used to operate and secure the site.

What do we use your information for?

We use the information you send through the contact form only to reply to you, to discuss your project, and to keep a record of our correspondence with you. We do not use it for advertising.

How does our contact form work?

Our contact form is handled entirely by our own website. When you send the form, your information goes over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to our web server, which emails it to us through our own mail server. No outside form service receives it. The email we receive also records the date, time and IP address the message was sent from. To prevent abuse, our server keeps a coded (hashed) record of that IP address for about an hour, so it can limit how many messages are sent from one address.

Please do not send passwords, payment details or other sensitive information through the contact form. If you need to share something confidential, contact us first and we will arrange a suitable way to exchange it.

Fonts, styles and scripts

Our pages load all of their fonts, style sheets and scripts from our own server, so browsing this site, or sending the contact form, does not contact any other company.

Do we use cookies?

No. Our site does not set cookies, and we do not use advertising or analytics tracking.

How do we protect your information?

Our entire site is served over HTTPS, so information you send us is encrypted in transit. Contact form messages reach us by email, and only TAB Software staff who need them to respond to you have access to them. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information you give us.

How long do we keep your information?

We keep your messages for as long as we need them to respond to you and to maintain our business records. You can ask us at any time to delete the information you have sent us.

Do we disclose any information to outside parties?

We do not sell, trade or rent your personal information. It is handled only by our website hosting and email providers, so that we can operate this site and respond to you, and when we are required to by law or need to protect our rights, property or safety, or those of others.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing us at the address below. We will respond within a reasonable time.

Children's Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance

We are in compliance with the requirements of COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act), we do not collect any information from anyone under 13 years of age. Our web site, products and services are all directed to people who are at least 13 years old or older.
